My Goals, My Ambition

During our childhood, we tend to fantasize and dream about what we wish to do when we grow up, and I always dreamed of being a doctor back then, so that my actions would help significantly help others. However, I've come to realize that it's not as easy as I once thought. After much self-evaluation and spending a lot of time surfing the internet to find a career that suits me, my current aim in life is to work in the science and technology field. I want to study at Universitas Indonesia majoring in Computer Science.

Why Computer Science? I've always found great pleasure in studying math; it's abstract, yet purely objective and absolute. Even though I often struggled with my math test, my desire to learn it remains strong. Secondly, I have been fascinated by computer systems since I was a kid, and technology seems like it's accelerating, they're developing too fast. We can see today there are more electronic devices than the human itself, we all have seen the evolution of technology, beginning from the time when only two big computers served the world to at least one device used by each person on earth today. It illustrates how incredible speed at which technology has evolved.

Regarding my achievements, I don't have remarkable ones like the others, as for me, simply surviving high school was an accomplishment in itself. So, what should I do to achieve my goals? From now on, I will try my best to get good grades and fully understand every topic I learn. 

Besides all of that, the most important thing that I want to aim for is to always be happy, Ibu always told me that happiness is really necessary to live a life because nothing else would matter if I'm not happy, I also want to make my parents proud cause they had a lot of things for me.

I know that what I plan to do right now might not be what I want to do in a few years ahead since life often tends to change direction. And even if my plans do change, I will always have goals for myself. With all of my hard work and dedication, I'm going to achieve my goals, whatever they may be.
